So I read the mixed reviews here on Amazon and I only bought one... I wished I would have bought 2 (and if one doesn't work I guess you could return the other) it worked. My building has fleas and some got inside the house right on my 3 cats.



Since I am allergic to lots of chemicals, I am trying to use a different approach so I bought this trap, so far in 3 days 27 fleas. Of course I am vacuuming the house, frontline on the cats and mopping the floor, but it does help. I wouldn't say that it is going to solve the problem if you only use the trap, but it is a helper in the process and if you are like me, trying not to use too many chemicals.

Flowtron wins hands down. We have two parrots, and their food causes seasonal infestations of small moths. We put both of these units near the cages, indoors. The Stinger worked ok, because spiders built webs in them, and THEY caught a few moths. The Flowtron is awesome, and clears the room in a couple nights, keeping it clear thereafter. In previous years the swarms were so bad (in the hundreds) that we couldn't use the room, and because the parrots are sensitive to poison (not to mention us!), we couldn't use pesticides. We have a house with a timber ceiling in the pacific northwest. After spotting a few large black carpenter ants, finding some frass, and hearing scratching sounds in the wall, I found this stuff recommended on the Internet. It arrived yesterday and I put some on the ceiling beams near where the frass was. Last night the ants went totally insane for it. They were crawling all over it. It was kind of unnerving, but they obviously loved this stuff. Tonight, exactly 24 hours later, there is not a single ant to be seen. Can it possibly have killed the queen & nest already? Don't hesitate to try this if you have a big black ant problem.

OK, OK I know you are not supposed to use this thingy inside but there's been a fly in my house for the past couple of days (honestly didn't they die after a few hours). Anyways, couldn't get it out NO MATTER WHAT. I chased it, I begged it, I had the swatter next to my bed, I even turned off all the lights and opened all the windows out. Nothing. It liked it inside and wasn't going anywhere. So got this Flowtron and turned it on and Zapppp, less than 30 seconds later - the fly got zapped. It's still walking a little (or trying to) but no more annoying flying! I should feel horrible for the poor creature, but after 2 nights with almost no sleep - GOOD RIDDANCE FLY!!!

I don't write a lot of reviews, but I felt compelled to write one about Repel.

We've been looking for a non-toxic (non-DEET) product to keep the mosquitos off of the little ones. We bought some skinsosoft, and it does keep the mosquitos off for a reasonable time, but it is really oily (it is mostly mineral oil).

So I kept reading tests and reviews. And Repel got really good results in formalized testing; nearly as good as DEET laiden products, but the reviewers complained about the strong smell. So we we though it would work well, but we'd have to able to live with the smell... but contrary to most of the reviews I have read, my wife and I think it smells great! Kind of 'botanical' like her favorite borghese mask. And it makes my skin feel cool and tingly, like lotion with a lot of mint in it.

So we're sold! And I'll be ordering a couple of extra bottles so that it is always handy.

I had the Flowtron 40 watt zapper years ago when we had an above ground pool. When the pool was removed, and the element on the zapper burned out, it was not replaced. Fast forward and mosquito infestation, it was impossible to go out, even in the daylight, without getting swarmed. Unable to use the back deck, I started researching the web for the best affordable solution. I was supprised after these years that Flowtron was still ahead of the pack. After installing the 80 watt, my neighbor comes over to check it out. It seems he has the 40watt Flowtron in his garage he bought years ago and never used. After a little encouragement, his was installed. Now 3 weeks later, we can both enjoy our yards in the evening without the insect lights and spray. Thanks Flowtron for a great product and thanks to Amazon for their super pricing.

As an added thought, do not expect overnight miracles. The current insects eggs have to hatch. After a week you will notice a reduction, after a couple more weeks you will forget you had a problem.

ZAP! Kill with ease and pleasure! by Tate
Using this electric bug zapper, I wonder how Fly Swatters still exist! It's easier, cleaner, and way more fun to use than any other household bug killing device I've seen! Just wave the racket above, nearby, around, or through the bug while the voltage button is pressed, and it knocks 'em out quick. No blood and guts splattered all over the walls, no sneaking up to smack while hoping the fly isn't looking. Flies tend to think they can fly Through the holes in the racket - wrong idea. The coils touch them every time and BAM! Nothing but a slightly toasted corpse to sweep up.



I noticed there were some issues as to whether or not this model comes with "D" or "A" batteries... it seems there are several different models and makes of the Electric Bug Zapper, so I can't guarantee it, but the one I bought from Amazon (from this page) came needing "D" batteries. I doubt the size of the battery effects the quality of the product though, I've seen one that took "A" batteries give just as forceful of an electric charge to cause a significant spark. Anyway, it's bugs we're out to kill, not large birds.



The only reason you shouldn't get this is if you think young children might not be able to avoid touching it. It only charges up with you press the On button, but curious children might want to touch the coils even if activated. Though I've been too scared to test the zap charge on myself, I doubt it would significantly HARM a person who did, but still.. if you have really young kids, I'd at least keep them from it. Based on the spark it gives the bugs, I'm sure it wouldn't feel nice.

I started to see a couple of ants each night in my bathroom and got tired of killing them one-by-one. I popped on amazon, found these with nearly unanimous positive reviews, and I have to add one more to the mix. The three or four ants a day I spotted quickly turned into about 50 or 60, directly into the ant trap. It was amazing. Anyway, It was incredible to watch them stream right into it. They had a field day and probably died happy. I haven't seen a single ant since. I only used two traps of the 6-pack, so if they ever come back, I'm ready.

It accurately keeps bugs away within the advertised 1/2 acre range, while providing the added benefit of entertainment. Don't try to make a drinking game to this kill tool, you will be wasted, possibly dead within minutes (just like the bugs). I feel warm and fuzzy inside when I see the blueish/violet light glow. To the people who say it doesn't kill the mosquitos, you're dead wrong (no pun intended). Even without the mosquito bait, this thing attracts them and keeps the pests off people/pets. Don't waste your money on inferior brands such as Stinger and Honeywell, this IS the one you want. I've had the Flowtron BK-15D for about 2 months now. It has seen some serious weather, and seems completely unaffected by it. Just make sure to clean with compressed air or a leaf blower periodically to keep the kill grid clear for maximum effectiveness. I work in a large 20 story building ridden with gross cockroaches. The building people say that it is a "losing battle" and the sprays and what-not do not seem to keep up with the problem. This is obviously not acceptable. So I took matters into my own hands and bought one of these little plug in repellers because I was out of patience and ideas. I bought it in April and have not seen any roaches in my office since that time. In fact, I haven't seen one in our department either. Whether they're on the 10th or 12th floor now is not my problem! It's worth the money to give it a try!

These things work!!! My mom bought me 3 of these 12 years ago when I moved off campus to an apartment complex in Baltimore. All my nieghbors complained about mice, but I NEVER saw a single one in the 3 years I lived there. I took the same 3 units and pluged them in at my townhouse, one on each level. And again, NO MICE!!!
