After battling a rat infestation with little luck, I came across this trap and decided to give it a try. This works way better than a conventional spring trap. I tried the spring trap and when it tripped, my wife happened to be looking out the kitchen window and saw a big Norway rat flying 10 feet through the air. More of a joy ride than a death trap! I was worried about just leaving poison laying around. I don't want to kill other animals besides the rats, and I was also worried the rats would drag the poison off somewhere where even a child might get a hold of it. So I took the T-Rex trap and put it inside a bait station that also had poison inside, the kind that goes over pins so it can't be dragged away from the trap. Of course, they never get a chance to try the poison, it mostly just attracts them along with the peanut butter I put in the T-Rex trap. This T-Rex trap gets them everytime! Dead. Instantly. Except maybe one rat that stepped on the trip plate and it still snagged him by the shoulder. The rat was dead when I found it anyway. I have now killed six rats with my combo bait station / T-Rex trap and apparently not any "non-target" animals like cats and squirrels. I am real happy with this trap. You will be, too!
